Sunday we saw a garage sale in our neighborhood at a house that has been for sale since last summer. well since we are curious (not nosey) neighbors we wanted to find out if they sold the house. we went to look at their garage sale and i casually asked, "oh are you spring cleaning?" the lady said, "no i'm moving" we then asked, "oh, did you sell the house?" she said, "yes" but reading into it...she probably didn't get what she wanted out of it and probably sold it for quite a bit less than what she bought it for. i say all this because we are just keeping an eye on the market in our neighborhood. we really hope that buying when we did will help in the long run but we have to wait and see.
ANYWAYS, she had these two nightstands for sale and we bought them for $8!! we thought...PROJECT!!! so we sanded them down and we are going to stain them darker and replace the handle. we wish we would have taken before pictures but below are the pictures of the project inbetween. the nightstand is sanded but not stained. we also bought new nobs at anthropology but i can't decide which ones i like...so if you have an opinion please let me know. i like them all for different reasons. All together we will have brand new night stands for less than $100!!
